Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of AdGuard Home for iOS (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
About the App
The App is an unofficial, third-party client for self-hosted AdGuard Home servers. It is developed by JIE MEI and is not made by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by AdGuard Software Ltd. AdGuard Home is a trademark of AdGuard Software Ltd.
The App connects only to AdGuard Home servers that you configure. The developer does not operate DNS services, filtering infrastructure, or a backend that receives your network data.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. The App is intended for users who manage their own or authorized AdGuard Home servers. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and any agreements governing the networks and servers you access.
Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate server connection details and keep your credentials secure.
- Use the App only on servers you own or are authorized to administer.
- Secure your AdGuard Home server, devices, and network appropriately.
- Comply with all applicable laws when configuring DNS filtering, blocking, and logging.
- Not use the App to interfere with networks, services, or systems without authorization.
No Server or Network Support
The developer provides the iOS client only. The developer does not install, host, maintain, or support your AdGuard Home server, home network, VPN, firewall, or DNS infrastructure. For AdGuard Home server help, refer to the official project and its documentation.
Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how information is handled on your device and when communicating with servers you configure.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
The developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every AdGuard Home version or configuration. Features may change as AdGuard Home APIs evolve.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP OR YOUR SERVERS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
In jurisdictions that do not allow certain limitations, the developer’s liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Third-Party Services and Software
The App may interact with third-party services you choose to use, including your AdGuard Home servers, GitHub Pages (filter list metadata), and update endpoints contacted by your server. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. The developer is not responsible for third-party services.
Changes to the App and Terms
The developer may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. The developer may discontinue or modify the App without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local law requires otherwise.
